Toshiba introduced on CES 2012 the thinnest tablet with 10-inch screen.

The product became a reality and is known as Excite X10. The company declares that its tablet has a thickness of only 7.7 mm what by 12.5 percent less than iPad2. The weight is well below 600g, exactly 535 grams (for instance, iPad2 got 600g).

Excite X10 uses a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800, LED-backlit display that supports 10-point multitouch. The display should be protected by Gorilla Glass.

Furthermore, tablet is equiped  with the dual-core processor TI OMAP 4430 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 16 or 32 gigabytes of space for our data, microSD microHDMI slots, Wi-Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and compass . There are also a light sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope.  On the back of the tablet cab be found 5 – megapixel camera, on the front the 2-megapixel webcam. Body is aluminium, including stereo speakers.

It is not clear whether the tablets will be delivered straight with Android 4.0 or Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
